Come build the city

We are a small team shipping a full open world to phones. That means everyone here owns real systems, and what you build is in players' hands rather than in a backlog.

Unity Developer

  • Ankara, Türkiye — on-site
  • Full-time
  • Games · Unity · C#

Craze City is an online open-world life sim for iOS and Android, launching in 2026. It is a real, working game with a lot still to build — and the next year of it is mostly gameplay systems, mobile performance, and turning the multiplayer groundwork into a shared city.

What you will do

  • Build and ship gameplay systems in a live open world — jobs, vehicles, property, the economy, the survival zone. You will own systems end to end, not tickets off a board.
  • Make it run on a phone. This is a full open-world city on mid-range hardware, so profiling, draw-call budgets, LOD and memory are daily work rather than an optimisation pass at the end.
  • Take the multiplayer layer from groundwork to shipped. Netcode for GameObjects, Relay and Lobby are installed and wired; turning that into a shared city players actually drop into is the biggest single piece of work ahead.
  • Work directly on player-facing feel: driving that kicks the back out, a reload you can be caught inside of, a city that reacts. Small changes that make the game feel good matter more here than architecture diagrams.

What we look for

  • Real Unity experience with C# — you have shipped something, or built something substantial enough to talk about in detail.
  • Comfort with mobile constraints. Knowing why a draw call costs what it costs matters more than knowing every API.
  • You can read a large codebase you did not write and change it carefully. This is an inherited, working project, not a greenfield one.
  • Enough English to work in it day to day.

We care about what you can build, not which university you went to. If you are close on paper but have something good to show, apply anyway.

Nice to have

  • Multiplayer or netcode experience — Netcode for GameObjects, Mirror, Photon, anything real
  • URP, shaders, or performance profiling on mobile
  • Open-world or simulation systems: traffic, crowds, AI navigation, streaming
  • Having shipped on the App Store or Google Play before

Email jobs@crazecity.com with a short note and anything you have built — a repo, a build, a video, a jam game. A playable thing beats a polished CV every time. No cover letter needed.

Not this role?

If you do something that would obviously make this game better — art, audio, level design, backend — send it anyway. Small teams hire the person, not the vacancy.
